The Greens, Eggs, and Jam brunch was held on August 25th at June Jordan School for Equity. Diana Gameros, Thomas Edler, and Patrick Wolff played beautiful music, guests enjoyed delicious food and beverages, and the sun came out for tours of the school’s garden. The event raised vital funds for Urban Sprouts’s work in schools and neighborhoods to promote vibrant classrooms, healthy eating, healthy communities, and a healthy environment.
Speakers included Matt Alexander, Co-Director of June Jordan School for Equity, members of the Urban Sprouts staff, and a Summer Sprouts student. Common themes were the unrivaled flavor of a tomato fresh from the garden, the importance of garden-based education, and the work of Urban Sprouts in the communities served by our partner schools.
