Last week the rain kept us from spending some QT in the MLK garden. This Saturday we will be hosting a make up garden party to give the MLK garden the love it deserves, 10am-1pm. I am very excited because the construction crew, responsible for remodeling the school grounds, has made us signs using recycled wood for us to paint and decorate the garden with! We will also be hosting a small workshop “In the ‘Hood: What Grows Where You Live,” to help SF gardeners understand what micro-climate our neighborhoods belong to and what you can attempt to grow in them. Snacks and drinks will be provided, the event is free of charge and open to everyone! Below is a picture of organic bay leaves grown in our garden, harvested, packaged and labeled by our students for friends of the garden and Garden Party attendees!
To get updates about this workday, make sure to RSVP above or on our Facebook event!

Psst! The link on the RSVP page still shows the previous date (3/26), which is a little confusing. It would be good to update that so folks know when to show up.
(Unfortunately I have a schedule conflict and don’t think I can make it, but am DEFINITELY putting the 4/23 mushroom event on my calendar.)
Great thanks for letting us know. Look forward to seeing you on the 23rd
