The attached audio clip is a composite of the voices, poetry, and free-styles of the young men who are part of the Gardening Class at Log Cabin Ranch (LCR). You can learn more about our organization and our education project at the SF Youth Detention facility.
Responding to the project’s prompt “Fresh and Green”, the young men wrote and shared poems with beats, often including reflections of their experience living in the youth detention facility, which is located in a woodsy mountainous area of San Mateo County, south of San Francisco.
