ISA Update

After the trials and tribulations that the ISA garden faced in the last few months, I see the new garden location as a blessing in disguise. The garden’s new position, right at the entrance of the school, has brought so much more awareness and curiosity from students, teachers staff, neighbors and (unfortunately) cabbage moths! Building a community around a school garden can be tough if you are not there for most of the week. The new garden’s location, it’s changes and growth does all the work for me. In the last few weeks we’ve spent time moving materials to our new location like our old shed and rocks for an ISA sign written in succulents. We’ve also been painting all the beds with bright colors, including one which will be covered in world flags as it is International Studies Academy after all!
