Fall is here! October was a busy and successful month for Urban Sprouts. We had productive work days at three of our garden education sites, rain or shine! We enjoyed music, raised funds, and performed outreach at the October 5th Jack Johnson Concert in Berkeley. Also, October brought the return of our awesome founder and Executive Director, Abby Jaramillo!
At Ida B. Wells School, we harvested more than 50lbs. of honey and at June Jordan School for Equity, we began the instillation of a 36′ by 20′ greenhouse!
Thank you to all the students, families, volunteers, and GAP employees for your your hard work and participation at our events. Thank you to all the businesses and individual donors for your contributions.
