My college thesis on environmental literacy ignited a deep passion in me for food justice and education through urban agriculture. Since then, I’ve worked in urban agriculture, community gardening and organizing in Philadelphia for several years, as well as on several farms both here and abroad. After finishing a two year apprenticeship in Ecological Horticulture at the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems at UC Santa Cruz, I’ve returned to city life and am excited to be teaching at Log Cabin Ranch.
