Dartanian Kaufman joins Urban Sprouts after several years working and apprenticing at sustainable, urban fruit and vegetable farms, including the Poughkeepsie Farm Project in New York and Full Circle Farm in Sunnyvale, California. She is a graduate of the University of California Santa Cruz Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems. Her experience gives her optimism for the possibility and multiple utilities of urban food production. She is enthusiastic about sharing knowledge with the next generation about growing food and connecting with nature in the city.
